Biscuits

2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4-1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter, cut into small cubes
3/4 cup milk
a little extra flour for kneading

Stir together dry ingredients.  Use a pastry blender to cut in butter.  Add milk.  Knead for 10-12 kneads and pat out to about 1/2-3/4 inch thickness.  Cut.  Place on tray.  Bake at 450 for about 9-10 minutes, till bottom is nicely browned and biscuits are puffy.
