Make with mashed potatos!
2 lbs ground chuck
1 large head cabbage
1 cup rice, boiled for 10 minutes, then drained
1 large onion, diced and sauteed
2 eggs
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 cans condensed tomato soup
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
3 soup cans of water
Core the cabbage and boil in salted water until leaves loosen. Take out leaves as they loosen and lay on a plate.
Mix beef, rice, onion, eggs, salt and pepper.
Roll up a meatball of meat in cabbage leaf. Fold sides in, roll and place seam side down in roasting pan. Continue with all meat and cabbage.
Mix soup, tomato sauce, and water in a bowl, then pour over cabbage rolls. Cover and bake at 350 for 2 1/2 hours.
Makes about 2 dozen.
